Can I still wear my contact lenses? Should I still wear them?

Many people are concerned about contact lens wear during these uncertain times. Your contact lenses are safe to wear assuming you follow the standard cleaning and disinfecting procedures as per usual. However, if you are able to wear glasses you may consider this temporary alternative.

What if I am due for my routine eye exam now?

Unfortunately, our office is closed due to mandates by both the State of California and City of Los Angeles. While we are not seeing patients for their comprehensive exams at this time, we are here for any eye health emergencies.

Can I get Coronavirus in my eye?

No. Health officials believe 1%-3% of those who have contracted Coronavirus may develop viral Pink Eye, or Conjunctivitis as a potential symptom. Those are low numbers. This means if you or someone you care for wakes up with that ever so lovely crusty, pink and sore eye, don’t panic. Having Pink Eye does not mean having Coronavirus.

Can I use eye drops?

Yes. You want to practice safe and proper hygiene like you always do:
a.. Wash your hands with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds.
b.. Make sure the dropper is clean. You can clean the top with rubbing alcohol if needed
c.. DO NOT touch dropper to your eyelids or face

Glasses Care

We would like to remind everyone who wears glasses to clean them on a regular basis. You can do so by rinsing them under room temperature water, using mild soap (DO NOT USE anything with harsh chemicals) and dry with a glasses cleaning cloth. Remember to clean nosepads and ear pieces.

WELCOME

We strive to build enduring relationships with our patients by providing the utmost in quality health care, utilizing state-of-the-art technology and offering only the best in optical materials all in a comfortable, friendly and professional environment.

TESTIMONIALS

  • They have taken incredibly good care of my mom, so I have to recommend them 100%. Fixed her glasses and then fitted new ones, twice. They also have the trendiest selection of glasses I have seen anywhere. It made me want glasses even though I don't need them.

  • Our eye doctor retired and my husband and I were referred to Dr. Silver by a neighbor. My husband has rather complicated eye issues (damage to one eye) and we were worried...But we shouldn't have been. He is a wonderful doctor and his office is busy but efficient and pleasant. And they take Medicare, which I increasingly respect as the right thing for a caring and committed doctor to do.
